Cannabis Movement Vows to Protest Against Delist Weed into Drug list
1 min readThe government’s move to reclassify cannabis as a narcotic threatens to trigger street protests and lawsuits by cannabis movement all over the country, as Thailand’s Cannabis Future, an advocacy group, said it would hold a protest against the move at the front of Public Health ministry on May 16.
Mr. Prasitchai Noonuan, secretary-general of the Thai Cannabis Writing Future Network, claimed that he plans to visit the Ministry of Public Health next week to ask about cannabis policy. Furthermore, there is still a rally opposing the return of marijuana as a drug scheduled for May 16 at the Ministry of Public Health, according to the network’s page.
