Cannabis Movement Set to Protest Across the Country

Thailand’s cannabis movement has reignited, as stoners across the country set to rally against a government decision that aims to reclassify cannabis back into drug list, The activist network  vow to organize a big protest in 5 provinces including Bangkok, Phuket, Chiangmai, Chonburi and Buriram on 16th May, 1.00 PM onward

A massive rally across the country will be held at the same time in five provinces to oppose the delisting policy as they called for a big crowd from all sectors to participate in a march to demand marijuana users’ rights, The major protest will be organized at the front of Public Health Ministry in Bangkok as they aim to submit a letter to Public Health minister asking the government to revive cannabis policy and call for consumer rights protection

Meanwhile, other 4 provinces are planning to organize a massive crowd in four regions from north to south, on May 16 at 1:00 PM onward, Activist groups in Chiang Mai Province announced a rally in front of the provincial public health office as well as the weed capital Buriram province prepare to form a weed mob in front of the provincial public health office, While tourist cities Phuket Province and Chonburi Province also organized cannabis protest in front of the provincial public health offices.

Thailand Cannabis Association announced a weed mob on 21st May, this protest aims to submit a letter to politic parties that had initiated the matter of reclassifying marijuana as a drug from 12.00 PM onward at Phue Thai party and 3.00 PM onward at Bhumjai Thai party, The declaration stated, “we need the unity of marijuana people. Let join us and urge those political parties to reconsider their commitment to reclassify marijuana as a narcotic drug list”
